Easter Egg Hunt!

Oh my! The kids were so cute at the hunt this year! Carter had to wear his "fast Jordans" :) Corbin {Carter's best little bud} met up with us, so he was pumped & getting a plan set up, he ran out into the middle first..It was crazy to me how Tenley knew exactly what to do, she didn't hesitate for a second. She ran right out there & got surprisingly quite a few eggs all by herself! Carter came back with an overflowing basket, he had SO many! He got about 8 raffle tickets, 20 free ice creams & they both got tons of candy!

 Then the boys took advantage of the jump houses while we listened to raffle drawing numbers. Carter won a stuffed Winnie the Pooh, some sidewalk chalk & a baby outfit we gave to the neighbors!

Dying Easter Eggs!

This year dying Easter eggs was intense! Carter was so excited, he got all the cups out & mixed all the tablets in. He of course wanted sports & Tenley chose puppies & kitties. Tenley was a handful. She always wants to help & be as involved as Carter but she wanted to drink the dyed water, crack & eat all the eggs & stick her hands in to grab the eggs out! :) Carters favorite part was blow drying the sports balls onto the eggs, & burming dad's hand he thought that was hilarious. Cub gets really into holidays now & making his stuff "perfect" By the time we were done Carter had his carton full of perfect eggs,a certain egg for each of us & Tenley had eaten all but 2 of hers :)

Still trying to figure out this new blogger layout, I obviously haven't blogged in quite sometime :)

Feeding & Milking Cows

"Uncle Jake" invited us out to their farm (4-4-12) to feed the baby calves & learn how to milk the cows with Christina & her kids...First Carter fed the baby calf with the bottle, which he loved!!! Next was milking the cow, he was not a fan of this at all. He was very timid at first, but then gave it a try! ...He'd rather watch Tayson & Taylee, & look at the big cows than actually milk them!
Tenley wanted to be held at all times until it was time to go then she walked right up to the pen & wanted to see their food & pet them...Feeding the baby calf was Carters "favoritest thing ever" so i'm sure we will be going back to do it again soon! Thanks Uncle Jake!

Willow Park

Christina & her kids came up for their spring break, so we met them at Willow Park since they had never been! Packed a lunch, & went to the park after. Her kids are so cute & get along great with ours. We're still trying to talk her into moving here :) HAHA!My kids would sit & feed the ducks all day. That's their favorite thing there! Thanks for the fun play day, we look forward to many more with you guys this summer!!

Sleep Over

Since Carter's spring break was the week before everyone elses, we didn't do much for Carter's spring break besides go to parks & play. But the next week it was Dac & Tays spring break so they came up for a slumber party! (4-3-12) The boys went fishing while us girls went to the softball game. Carter thinks he is hilarious with whatever he says while they are here because they laugh at him no matter what! Its always a nightmare trying to get them to fall asleep but they only sleep over so often so it makes it fun! :)Tenley absolutely loves Taycee, she follows her everywhere, & asks for her days after she has left! Taycee even hid some eggs so they could find them before we left to the park! Even though Dac & Tay are older we love having them over to play as often as possible!!

Saturday Fun

We went out to my parents to enjoy some nice weather, & just to hang out a few Saturday's ago (3-31-12) All 4 grand kids were there all day. They played pig, jumped on the tramp, swung, went on bike rides/walks, rhino rides. Carter drove my dads little 4-wheeler all by himself for the first time! He did awesome & listened how to drive great! He catches onto everything so fast!Tenley did NOT want to get out of the swing, she loves swinging & says "dog" (for an underdog) & "high" & wants you to sit there & push her 24-7! :)We attempted to take some pictures of all 4 grand kids together, because we don't have any with Tenley in them! Wow, was it a task. My dad came along to try & get the kids to all look & pay attention. I don't know how families with more than 1 kid get any cute pictures, I guess that's why they have photo shop! These are the best 2 we got. Tenley wouldn't sit or smile, Carter was saying cheese while not looking at the camera & Dac & Tayc were sick of pictures :-P! We love going out to nama & papa's to play!!!

My big 2-5!

I turned 25 on 3-21. We went out to dinner at Mis Amores, then the kids made me a strawberry cake & we watched a movie as a family... Although 25 does sound a little older, I don't feel any different.

Wrestling 2012

Carter went to 4 matches this year in wrestling. Grace, Marsh Valley, West Side & Preston. He ended up winning 2 of his matches. Pretty good for his first year. He got tougher & tougher each match, & even tried to kick & punch he would get so mad! (even pulled hair once haha) He got his first win in Marsh Valley, we were all so proud! Especially daddy!He had quite a fan club of family coming to watch him each match. My mom & dad got him this cute wrestler trophy that has his name & the year on it... He was pretty proud and showed us where he wanted it in his room! Super proud of you "muscle man". We're looking forward to some t-ball this summer!

Lorax

Shayna & I planned a night out, well not really, but a night out with the little hooligan boys.(3/13/12) We took them to Lorax in 3D, such a cute movie, with meaning for kids, its for sure a buyer. Carter really got into the movie & the whole story line, he only took his glasses off once or twice & i'd just tell him he was going to miss a "cool part" & he'd put them right back on. The best picture I could get of the boys cooperating, Corbin did NOT want his picture taken :)Then we went to eat at Chik-fil-a, so the boys could play & be rowdy! Neither of us had ate there before but I thought it was pretty good! Then we were off to Hobby Lobby for some crafting :) we let the boys play a little too long & didn't know they closed at 8 so we were rushed! But still found a few things that we needed. *Carter did knock the whole cart over, with Corbin & him in/on it* good thing no one was hurt. By the end of the night I think Shayna & I both agreed to boys night out with their dads next time :) -No, what can you expect! We had a fun time & love spending time with these crazy 3 year olds!

Toy Story 3 On Ice

Justin & I decided to take Carter to Toy Story 3 on Ice last minute (3/10/12). We took him to Mickey Mouse on Ice last year but sat up high, so it wasn't too exciting & hard to keep him entertained at age 2. But this year, Justin's boss was kind enough to buy our tickets, so we got front row!! It was fun being so close, it definitely makes a huge difference...Carter got all dressed up in his Buzz outfit, he was so anxious for the show to get started! We stopped in Bountiful on the way down for Justin to try & win the "solo cup stack off" for a trip to Tennessee (since he won Toby Keith tickets for us in June) But he didn't end up winning the trip, dang it! My mom babysat Tenley since she is a little too a.d.d. :) she can't sit still for longer than 2 minutes, literally, she is a handful to take anywhere! It was so cute because when the barbies came out, Carter told me to take lots of pictures- so he could show Tenley :)! What a sweetheart. The show was really cute & its fun to have some alone time with just Cub, he deserves it!!!
memo: (we usually just carry Carter into events so we don't have to buy him his own ticket because half the time he sits on the stairs or wants to sit on our laps anyways, well we forgot to carry him in & the guy at the door told us we needed to buy another ticket, 1st how would we get him a ticket by us the day of the show & 2nd the guy didn't even know if it was 2 & under or 3, so we just went out & went threw a different door-sorry our kid looks like a 5 year old, he really is just 3!)

1st Wrestling Match

We took Carter to his first wrestling match up in Grace (3/9/12). I'll admit it, Justin & I were both a little nervous because about 70% of the kids his age that wrestle end up just crying -before, during, & after their matches. We invited Grandma & Grandpa's - everyone was so anxious to see his first match. He was too cute & couldn't wait to get there & weigh in...He weighed in at 43 lbs.Waiting for his match-- Justin is such a great dad & "coach"... always there for him when he needs it & encouraging him! He ended up wrestling two kindergartners- 5 & 6 year olds! He was so tough, didn't cry one time, & he gets so mad, he even grunts , its the cutest thing!!Posing with the Grace Grizzly Bear! He cried at his first practice this year, but now he loves everything about wrestling *besides when the kids choke him* & has done a total 180 since day one!! He says he wants to go to some more matches so he can win more medals! :) That'a boy!!! We're so proud of you! Your one tough kiddo- we love you Cub!!!

Valentine's Day!

Carter had pre-school on Valentine's which made it kind of fun for him to take Valentine's (gold fish) & pass them out, even though I don't think the kids quite understand Valentine's yet , its more just another day of treats & toys :) I WON Lady Antebellum tickets the week before Valentine's, so Justin & I got a room & spent the day in Salt Lake. Lady Antebellum was so romantic for a Valentine's date! Thompson Square & Darius Rucker opened for them. Darius Rucker was a very good entertainer, & we had already seen Thompson Square before. Justin & I usually just chill on Valentine's & don't make a huge deal of it, so it was fun to get out & be together just us! It has been 9 years since we met. Justin's parents watched the kids & his mom came into our house with the kids & spent the night with them here. *makes it easier with Tenley & her having her own bed* Such a great concert & amazing night~ I'm happy to have the husband I do! Happy Valentine's!!!
